I’ll start saying
that I don’t play video games, and I wouldn´t say I like it. Of course I played
once, specifically when I was 11 years old, because my older brother showed to
me Age of Empires, and I remember that I stayed all weekend playing it, just stopping
to go to the bathroom and eat. Really bad idea. After one month I even started to dream with the game, and with
Juana de Arco saying “we must rescue William Wallace” but in Spanish (I didn´t
and I don’t dream in English, of course). One day I stopped playing it,
because I realised that in two months I hadn't done anything productive.
Since that moment I
can´t remember myself playing any video game. I don´t say that it´s a waste of
time, because someone could really enjoy it and find an utility in them, like
learning English, or maybe all his/her friends do it so it´s fun talking about video games with them, I don´t know. I
don´t think there’s anything bad about the people who play video games, at
least not until they become obsessed
with it to the point they can´t talk of anything else. If they just play it
because it´s their hobbie, that’s fine,
everybody has different ways to use their time.
But, I prefer to do
other things when i´m using the computer. I like to watch films, read books,
watch music videos, search for new music, and specially, I use the social
networks to talk with people that I can´t see everyday.
I loved Age of Empires too!
ResponderEliminarI like Age of Empires, and I played that game when I was a child too. I played AOE again 3 months ago, I played it just 2 times. Cheers
